Changelog

What has changed on the GMR Toolkit, newest first. Each entry names the tools it affects and their scoring version.

Guides, research and how to cite

  • "Copy for the chart" on every result puts one line about the result on your clipboard, to paste into a chart.
  • "New assessment" replaces "Start over". It clears the answers to every tool in this browser tab.
  • A new Guides section for clinicians, with two guides: "'Frail' means different things on different tools" and "Frailty in heart disease" (cardiology review pending).
  • A new Research page, with plain-language summaries of published papers from our group.
  • Research page: the papers behind our tools come first, and our own research is on a second tab.
  • This changelog.
  • Each tool page has a "How to cite" section, with the papers to cite and, for the live tools, a citation for the tool itself that you can copy as text or BibTeX.
  • Scoring is unchanged.

Tools: Clinical Frailty Scale Classification Tool (Full version), scoring version 2.0; Clinical Frailty Scale Classification Tool (Short version), scoring version 2.0; Fit-to-Frail Index Calculator, scoring version 2.0; Pictorial Fit-Frail Scale (Beta), scoring version 0.1.

Pictorial Fit-Frail Scale beta: pictures in one row

  • Each category now shows its pictures in one Best → Worst row, like the paper form.
  • A "View larger" button opens the category in a larger window, where you can also choose.
  • Scoring is unchanged.

Tool: Pictorial Fit-Frail Scale (Beta), scoring version 0.1.

Pictorial Fit-Frail Scale beta

  • A test version of the Pictorial Fit-Frail Scale, listed under Beta tools.
  • It uses placeholder pictures, not the official artwork, so it is not for clinical use.
  • You choose who is completing it: yourself, someone else, or a health professional.
  • It gives a score out of 43 and a frailty index. No score is given when 4 or more categories are unanswered.

Tool: Pictorial Fit-Frail Scale (Beta), scoring version 0.1.

New GMR Toolkit website

  • The GMR Toolkit moves from the old R Shiny apps to a new website.
  • It has the Clinical Frailty Scale Classification Tool (full and short versions) and the Fit-to-Frail Index Calculator.
  • Scoring matches the original apps exactly.
  • Old /app1/, /app2/ and /app3/ links go to the new pages.
  • New: layouts for phones and tablets, printable results, downloading results (JSON or CSV) and opening a saved result.
  • Fit-to-Frail now shows how your frailty index compares with people of your age and sex.
  • Your answers stay in your browser. The site uses no cookies or analytics.

Tools: Clinical Frailty Scale Classification Tool (Full version), scoring version 2.0; Clinical Frailty Scale Classification Tool (Short version), scoring version 2.0; Fit-to-Frail Index Calculator, scoring version 2.0.
